Pilates

Pilates Classes 

Classes are suitable for all levels from beginners to advance, making this a mixed ability session, with available modifications and adaptations. Classes are small and limited to 7-8 participants making it ideal to have more hands-on sessions, leading you to learn the ideal technique and posture as you will have all of your instructor’s attention, which is often not possible in larger groups.


Classes take place every Monday from 7:30 PM – 8.30 PM and every Wednesday from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Back2Balance Physio and Pilates Clinic, 609 Forest Road, London, E17 4PP.


Each session costs £10.00 for the hour, or you can buy a block of 6 sessions for £54.00.

Principles of Pilates

Concentration: promotes mind-body connection and enhances bodily awareness.


Centering: bringing focus to the center of your body; as you focus within, you bring a sense of calmness to both body and mind.


Control: with proper body control you will utilize correct form, leaving no part of your body unattended.


Precision: executing one exercise with deliberate precision is more effective than more repetitions with a sloppy form.


Breathing: deep, controlled, diaphragmatic breathing activates blood circulation and awakens muscle cells.


Alignment: from head to toe, the Pilates method stresses good posture.


Flow: grace, ease, and fluidity are applied to all Pilates exercises.


Integration: combining all of the above achieves the goal of an integrated mind-body workout.

Baby Massage

Baby and Infant Massage Course and Drop-In 

We are happy to introduce our baby massage classes. As you might already know, Yasemin herself is a mother of four and a qualified massage therapist, Pilates instructor, and life coach.


With many years of experience, qualifications, and insurance, you are guaranteed to be in safe hands. Join us as Yasemin guides you through various massage techniques which play a key role in enhancing the bonding process and encouraging a secure attachment.


Not only is it great fun to connect with your baby but you will also have a chance to meet other parents and develop long-lasting relationships in a friendly and open environment. Each session lasts 45 minutes-60 minutes depending on babies’ moods.


The full course includes a baby massage history, benefits, and massage techniques sent to you via email prior to attending the course, a small bottle of grape seed oil and a certificate of attendance upon completion with a group photo. We will provide mats and relaxation music.


Yasemin will demonstrate all the massage techniques on a life-like doll. While going through the routine she will talk you through the benefits, speak to you about any concerns, challenges, tips, and advise, and sing fun and calming nursery rhymes.


During sessions, you are free to feed and change your baby and also just watch while calming baby down if baby feels a little fussy. So do not worry at all as it is not meant to be a regimented class and all sessions are baby- and carer-led with a very relaxed and flexible approach.

Thursday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM – drop-in class - £10.00 per class at Back2Balance Physio and Pilates clinic, 609 Forest Road, London, E17 4PP.
